What’s happening in Chelsea public housing is wrong. Families are being pushed out of their homes so developers can cash in, and that sets a dangerous precedent for the rest of the city.
I stand with residents fighting to stay, and I will oppose any plan that displaces New Yorkers under the guise of “redevelopment.” It’s about time we remind private developers that public housing is for the public. As your representative, I’ll fight to keep these communities intact and properly funded.
