Thank you to Maria Danzilo for hosting Common Sense Cocktails with One City Rising at the Dakota on the Upper West Side. We were able to have a lively and civilized conversation about issues that actually impact the lives of New Yorkers, like affordability, public safety, and healthcare.
Too many NY-12 candidates have centered their campaigns around slogans like “Impeach Trump” that may sound good but don’t actually move us forward. Impeachment doesn’t lower your rent, fix our subways, or make healthcare more affordable; if it ever came to pass, all it would do is hand power to JD Vance. That’s not a solution for New Yorkers.
I’m running to focus on passing laws that improve people’s daily lives. That means getting serious about solving problems, not just reacting to the Republicans. Let’s make government work better for the people it serves.
